What numbers do I need to know, and what are they used for?

When you manage your Magnifi Financial accounts, you may be asked for different numbers depending on what you are doing. Some numbers identify Magnifi as your financial institution. Others identify your membership, a specific deposit account, or a specific loan. This article explains the most common numbers members may need and when to use them.

Common Magnifi Financial Numbers 

Magnifi Financial routing number

Magnifi Financial’s routing number is 291974204.

You may need Magnifi’s routing number when setting up:

  • Direct deposit
  • Payroll deposits
  • ACH payments
  • Automatic payments
  • External account connections

A routing number identifies Magnifi Financial as the financial institution. It does not identify your personal account by itself. You will usually need to provide an account number along with the routing number.


Member number or account number

Your member number and account number are generally the same for member-facing support. This number identifies your membership or account relationship with Magnifi.

You may need your member or account number when:

  • Signing up for Digital Services
  • Making certain online loan payments
  • Setting up a member-to-member transfer
  • Visiting a branch or talking with a Magnifi team member
  • Completing certain payment or account setup forms

You can find this information in Digital Services. From your account, visit the Details & Settings tab.


Direct deposit or MICR account number

Your direct deposit or MICR account number identifies the specific checking or savings account to which or from which money should be moved.

You may need this number when setting up:

  • Direct deposit with your employer
  • Social Security or government benefit deposits
  • Automatic payments
  • Transfers from another financial institution
  • Payments using your Magnifi checking or savings account

You can find this number on your physical checks. If you do not have checks, you can also find it in Digital Services. From the dashboard, select the account you want to use, then go to Details & Settings and look for the information listed for Direct Deposit/Auto Payment.


Share ID

A Share ID identifies a specific deposit account under your membership, such as a savings or checking account.

Share IDs use an S followed by four digits. For example:

S0001

You may need a Share ID when:

  • Setting up a member-to-member transfer
  • Identifying which deposit account should receive funds
  • Working with Magnifi on a specific account

You can find your Share ID in Digital Services by selecting the account and going to Details & Settings. The full account number is masked on paper and electronic statements, but the numerical Share ID is available on statements.


Loan ID

A Loan ID identifies a specific loan under your membership.

Loan IDs use an L followed by four digits. For example:

L0001

You may need a Loan ID when:

  • Making a loan payment
  • Mailing a loan payment
  • Asking about a specific loan
  • Identifying which loan should receive a payment

This is helpful if you have more than one Magnifi loan. You can find your Loan ID in Digital Services by selecting the loan and going to Details & Settings. The full account number is masked on paper and electronic statements, but the numerical Loan ID is available on statements.


Where to find these numbers

The best place to find your account numbers, Share IDs, and Loan IDs is in Digital Services.

To find them:

  1. Log in to Digital Services.
  2. Select the account or loan.
  3. Open the Details & Settings tab.
  4. Review the account, Share ID, Loan ID, or Direct Deposit/Auto Payment information shown.

You may also find certain numbers on your original account paperwork, physical checks, or statements. For security, full account numbers are masked on paper and electronic statements.

Keep your account information safe

Your account numbers help move money, so only share them when you are setting up a trusted deposit, payment, transfer, or account service.

Magnifi will not ask you to share sensitive account information through an unexpected call, text, or email. If you are unsure whether a request is legitimate, contact Magnifi directly before sharing your information.
